An Taisce's National Spring Clean

An Taisce's National Spring Clean, Ireland's premier anti-litter programme takes place during the whole month of April every year.

Image result for an taisce spring clean kit

This year  Mrs Fay and Mrs Rowen together with 3rd and 4th class walked to the playground and around Killeshandra town collecting litter. They filled 1 bag of rubbish as they found the town litter free. They had to search for litter. The town has a very active Tidy Towns Committee and they do a great job keeping Killeshandra litter free.
We at Scoil Bhríde also have a very active anti litter squad which is part of our Green School Programme and they keep our school yard litter free.
Well done to all involved.
Here are some photos of our hunt for litter and the beautiful flowers around our town.

We at Scoil Bhríde would like to say Thank You to Declan Dinneny and the Killeshandra Gun Club for the kind donation and installation of bird nesting boxes and trees. It was very much appreciated.
They have been placed in our wildflower garden and just in time for nesting season.
