Grandparents/Grandfriends Day

Scoil Bhríde will celebrate National Grandparent's Day on Wednesday 31st January.

A prayer service will be held in the school gym at 1 pm, followed by refreshments and a visit to the classrooms.

We invite all children's Grandparents/Grandfriends to come along and join us in celebrating this very special occasion.

Killeshandra Day Care Centre

6th class made a trip to the Killeshandra Day Care Centre for older people

 to join the group for a Christmas Party. 

All pupils made Christmas cards and presented these to their new friends.

We listened to stories, sang songs, played games and had some food and treats.

A great time was had by all.
Thanks to the Day Care Committee for a great day.

Christmas Nativity Play

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas break and we are all ready to start a new term in  2018.
I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

On Thursday 21st December the pupils had their Carol Service
 and Nativity play in the church. 
A great night was had by all and I would just like to thank all the staff and pupils for their help in putting together a fantastic night.
Thanks also to all parents, friends and guardians who attended.
Also a special thanks to the Parents Association for the refreshments served on the night.

Student Council visit Children's Ward in Hospital

Student Council in Anglo Celt

As part of a fundraiser run by the Student Council for World Book Day, the pupils dressed up as their favourite characters from a book and the money raised was used to buy books, sweets, games, jigsaws etc which was put into a hamper and  donated this to the Children's Ward in Cavan Hospital.
