Cookery demonstration by Fergus Murphy

We were delighted to welcome Fergus Murphy to our school today to give us a cookery demonstration. Fergus is the owner and chef at Murph's Bistro in the Derragarra Inn in Butlersbridge.
He made a curry sauce from beginning using various spices. He then showed us how to bone a chicken.
Next on the menu was Kangaroo which he cooked two ways. First he made a stir fry and then he cooked some on the pan.
All of the above dishes were cooked with vegetables and herbs from our school garden which included spinach, cabbage, onions, spring onions, lettuce, parsley, chives and mint,
He finished off the demonstration with Murph's Eton Mess.
All pupils got a taste of kangaroo.
Fergus treated all the staff and pupils to chicken curry.
It was delicious!
Thank you Fergus for a most enjoyable and informative day.
