Heritage in Schools Week

Heritage in School Workshop
Last term we were contacted by The Heritage Council to inform us that our school had been nominated in a competition for a free full-day visit from a Heritage in Schools Specialist.
Thanks to one of our parents, Alice O'Dowd for the nomination.
On Friday the 19th October 5th & 6th class went to Killeshandra Town lake to inspect the insects, birds and fish living there and to collect some samples with Heather Bothwell.
Some insects were brought back to the school where all classes had a chance to look at what is living in and around our local lake.
