Lisa McDaniel who is the Environmental Officer with Green Schools Environmental Educational Unit came to the school last Tuesday 4th of February in connection with our Travel Flag. She assisted us in doing an environmental check on road markings approaching the school and also at the school
We walked from the school up to the GAA pitch and measured the distance.
It was 561 metres and it took us just under 7 minutes to walk,
Some of our road markings need to be repainted and there is some signage that needs addressing, especially approaching the school.
We will also be sending out a note to all parents and guardians asking them to refrain from parking on the yellow box
